John Muse, AAMS®
LPL Registered Principal
John began his career as a Financial Advisor in 1999 during some of the most tumultuous financial times: the tech bubble collapse of 2000, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the mortgage crisis of 2008. While it wasn’t an ideal time to start a career, it taught John the value of a long-term plan and strategy to reach retirement goals.
In 2003, John opened his own practice with LPL Financial in Flower Mound, Texas. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry. John holds the Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 securities licenses, a Group 1 life and health insurance license, and the AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designation, held through LPL Financial.
John is a former member of the U.S. Army, serving in both active and reserve status. While on active duty, he had numerous postings and deployments, including at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland, for the School of Warfare and Research. John used the Army GI Bill during and after his service to attend the University of Arkansas, where he majored in Kinesiology and Business Administration.
He enjoys working with individual investors, small business owners, and high-net-worth families.
John and his wife, Wendy, have resided in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area since 1998, where John also attended the Lewisville Leadership Class of 2005. In his free time, John enjoys officiating high school and college football, surf fishing, and being involved in his local church home group.
